This chic lounge bar on the roof of Kiev’s swank Intercontinental Hotel has the best view in the city by far, outstripping its nearest rival at Premier Palace. The terrace of the modern bar overlooks the vaulting spires of St. Michael’s golden-domed monastery, and the roofs of the grand buildings below. It’s worth splashing out on expensive cocktails and pricey appetizers for this treat, especially in late spring and summer when the sun casts long shadows over Kiev’s historic buildings.
